Army Aviation Veteran Al White of Roanoke, Texas, shares some historyabout World War II "Victory Pins" he received from his mother.
"The picture shows items I got from my mom who worked for Douglas during WW II. On top is a Bomb Neckless that was worn to show she was in the defense industry. The second row shows aircraft pins for early Douglas aircraft. The last is an "E" pin that showed that mom purchased Savings Bonds. This was an award given out to the government to individuals. There were also "E" flags that were given out to companies and schools for their participation.
